Too hot to handle – broadband light sources for SWIR and MWIR range
Traditional high temperature IR emitters are limited to short wavelength and near infrared ranges. The new generation uses robust metal foil filaments and sapphire windows to extend the spectrum down to 6 microns. This technology offers a stable and efficient solution that can be easily adapted to different sizes. In analytical applications, it enables reliable measurements and high optical output power. New IR emitters also open up possibilities for non-analytical applications such as enhanced imaging and non-contact vaporization of liquids.
